Cannot understand why the App always pop out “ connection time out” and failed to connect to the camera. Cannot review the live view and recording from the App. Only website version works😠

Nice little app but poor video performance
I use it to manage around 8 cameras and paid for the services. It is a nice mobile app however the video performance is so poor - not able to connect a lot of times!
If you market this as a cloud services then PLEASE invest more capacity on the cloud to make this useable!

landscape view problem
The full screen landscape view’s rotation direction is wrong.
In the previous version, the landscape view was on the left hand side (Rotate 90 degree clockwise from portrait to landscape). After the update, the landscape view is on the right hand side (Rotate 90 degree ANTI-clockwise from portrait to landscape)
It makes me unable to do the full screen viewing on iPad when mounting it on the keyboard. Please fix it!

鏡頭好用但app 有進步空間
觀看「持續錄影」時出現infinite loading, 不知是太慢還是真的卡死，轉為事件錄影時什麼也沒有（有設定自動化事件）。
通知有截圖非常好，但點擊入內只看到事件list，但個別事件不能連結至sd card 事件錄影，也沒有了通知原本的截圖，這是十分扣分的位置。

Landscape support and download improvement
The downloads of the videos from the cloud is unstable and does not work reliably.
On the IPAD, it would be good to have landscape support as I use the magic keyboard; using the ipad means I have to remove the ipad from the keyboard and hold it in portrait just to use the app.
Ipad apps by now should have landscape mode available by default.

How to setup schedule restart for DCS-8515LH ?
The ‘schedule’ function is only setting the cam to privacy mode on/off rather than really switching the cam power on/off. As a result, I have to manually unplug and plug the cam again to make a force restart when the cam is not function.

Functionality downgrade in Sep 2020
How disappointing is a downgrade in functionality in an app “design overhaul” in 9/2020!?
1. 720 is the default resolution instead of 1080. And we can no longer choose 1080 as default as the app removed this option
2. Limited time of viewing. This is my own camera and you D-link imposes a time limit of viewing??? Isn’t it RIDICULOUS?? Am I watching a zoo show of animals on my caskets???
3. Video recording playback no longer works. ERROR for my 2 cameras!! Only a still image is loaded and ERROR ensues.
4. Too easy to have the camera position moved. Could you please add a safeguard button or something else before the camera position is moved. It’s simple!!
Bring back control functionality of MY CAMERA!! It’s RIDICULOUS an “upgrade” is meant to be a downgrade!!
DON’T BUY D-link UNTIL A REVOKE OF SUCH RIDICULOUS CHANGES!!!

Functional but can be improved on
It bit of missed opportunity on the portrait mode of the security camera, especially when pinch to zoom is frustrating as sometimes it will change camera angle instead: add arrows and zoom in and out keys to the blank area to make it easier to manipulate the camera. There are also some connection and freezing issues that require force closing and rebooting the app.
Its functional but not great.

1) Bug issue. The sensitivity of motion detection is always set at 70% no matter how I set the sensitivity on the slide bar, re-install the app, or reset the cam.
2) Poor app design. Very confusing on the settings for the simplest video recording function.
3) Poor firmware. An IP cam costs hkd1,000 without option of 7/24 video recording is literally a joke to me.
Had tried a few IT products of Taiwanese brands. Not one of them was satisfying. Will think trice before purchasing another Taiwanese IT product.

Can’t use since firmware update
Ever since updating the firmware I can’t access the cam from my app.
Yet if I check my router it is connected.
On my phone it keeps telling me there was an error during binding. Yet my router said it’s connected.
I even did a factory reset of the cam and it’s still not working.

Dlink Cloud failed starting from 11-Oct-1019
Dear CS,
It’s found my d-link cloud service suddenly not working starting from yesterday night (11-Oct-2019).
My cam model is DCS-8300LH-564F, it works fine for over one month, and keep on functioning until 11-Oct-2019 night.
Since I am a IT specialist, it is confirmed not related to the cam itself and also my networking performs very well.
I tested before that even my cam is unplugged from the network, those videos that recorded previously should still be able to view through the iphone app event list, but it didn’t now.
Another point is when I try to view the video that recorded three days ago, the video list suddenly fail to show the preview image and video, but I am sure the video on that day was working fine before yesterday as I did download some of them to my iphone.
Please kindly review the Cloud Recording service and resolve the issue, thanks!

I download this apps for the new purchased Cam and end up very disappointed on this companion.
Why I have to click “agree” for the privacy agreement every time the app is opened?
The app will crash randomly.
The cam will auto disconnect after a while of viewing and will not be able to reconnect for a few minutes.
A lot of bugs here and there on the interface made it almost unusable.

It is very disappointed that the apps is not compatible to all the D-link Cam product, such as DCS-8200LH. It is very inconvenient to install 2 different apps for 3 different models of cam at home.
