This App is the nightmare. Like other applications provide by bank of china, this app’s design is very odd and old (Like developed in 2010-2015). Not only it is not user friendly, but also the UI is crippled. And I have no idea why all those promotions/Ad even occupied more space than the information I actually care about.
More than that, bank service is the worst across all the HK bank I have experienced, waiting time is horrendously long. The kindness of the staff is also incomparably worse when compared to other banking services providers.
Recommendation, use BOC services when necessary.

After the version update, the in-app keyboard has become worse, with smaller letters and easier typos. Users can't change the iPhone's default keyboard back, which is silly. Last version I could still use the keyboard to save my password every time I logged in, but now I have to use this stupid keyboard to type my username and password every time and it keeps saying I'm incorrect! Please remove this keyboard in the next update!

After the last upgrade, the password keyboard has changed but somehow I have been entering the PW I used to login and kept saying failure. I have no way to change the keyboard back to the iOS default keyboard. Can you please look at the issue? The new keyboard that display on the app doesn’t work at all. It almost lock my account and I have to use the laptop version. This is an APP how can you have a bug on the password page ?

The app has really poor usability. And for each transaction you have to type in a password where we don’t see in other banking apps. Worse, the in-app keyboard is designed by genius that the lower / upper case letter setting is just different from what you’ve been using on phone. This would for sure make you type wrong passwords.

The account opening is a joke. Face recognition always fail and when user struggle to reach the end of the process, the apps simple direct you back to the branch to do it without telling you what went wrong.. waste of time!!!

I have deal with this app and bank for almost half year still not yet withdraw my money in overseas They set many obstacles and even they disqualified my card (still have 1 month to get expired) but i am vey luck to disqualified my card in my most urgent need money time I was feeling hopeless and broken heart DONT SAVE YOU MONEY IN THIS BANK WHEN U Are OVERSEA IT WONT MAKE U WITHDRAWAL SUCCESSFULLY!!!

It’s simply a ridiculously inconvenient app when compared to other banking apps. I just need a simple operation which probably only takes 1-2 minute. But this app requires steps followed by steps which costed me more than 30 minutes. This is worse than nonsense to happen in 2023.

It’s not a mature technique apparently but boc still takes it as the one and only way to process the online banking application….just keep wasting time. I tried 4-5 times to take pics of ID, although it could be passed to next step but it still let me fail on Face ID ….then back to HKID pic “AI” taking…..non stop loop the process .

The usability of this app is terrible. There are different navigation sites that contain the same information. E.g what’s the purpose of “My Account —> see all” site and “Transaction Records”? Same purpose with same information?
The “Transaction Records” site doesn’t even list all transactions incurred, leading to confusion among users. People that developed this app clearly didn’t have a clue about what they were doing.
Login process takes ages. There may be security processes in the backend that lead to long login process, but other banking applications have same functionality with better performance. I don’t know why such a bad app has been even released.

I could tell why so many people gave such low rating to this new BOC app. In seconds after download I understand completely because this app is mandatory yet completely useless! My first step was an attempt to change the language in setting but the app frozen once I got into the setting screen! Then, nothing can be done further! Exited and log back in multiple time, same error! Freeze! Freeze! Freeze! BOC never surprise me, it online bank and mobile banking is and has what’s been sick! Blablabla! Good job IT engineers! Good job BOC management! One middle finger up! You guys well deserve it! Keep up the awful work! Hahah

Login time, page loading time, it is faster than before but seems that some functions still link to the old systems, right? Hope the upgrade would be extended later. In general, I would say the performance is still poor, slower than other financial apps in the market.
And the user interface doesn’t really fit the user requirement, I mean the user as a customer who checks one’s account, dealing one finance. The design right now seems like a page to promote your business and service. In short, users are not easy to get what they want.
