It’s good APP but …

It’s a good app but it’s a little too complex. Also I don’t understand over the years I’ve lost countless poems …. On yr app. And can’t find them

They’re gone forever … think you shouldn’t have soo many notebooks and as it it gets confusing .. just also should have a system where *There’s ONE MAIN NOTEBOOK in this APP that automatically saves & joins all the notebooks contents* … of one person. So can be found.as it’s not easy to remember all notebook names I am member from 2013 or so. So long ago. When my computer had crashed in 2015-16 I was traveling … I lost many of my major part of my notes ! And phones changed that’s why … data transferred from laptop to laptop by technicians …I Can’t get them back …

Also last year or 2 yrs ago I lost many notes again. As one subscription I closed. I think so just the unpaid one doesn’t keep all our notes SAFE !! Right ?

Now also I have two subscriptions. I’m scared to remove one subscription. Or I will / might Lose my notes & poems .. work. So how to Ensure none are lost again. ?? Can I just keep one subscription? I have Plus and Premium … one I just resubscribed to this month … and the other subscription is recurs in October 2026 this year. Both are for HKD $800 & $858 approximately a Year

Bugs occurred upgrade page inside the app

I have used long years but this year after I clicked on a promotional price of upgrade then it keeps sending me notice for my Apple Pay problem and Evernote cannot receive my money. Then I try to do another upgrade in the app but it pop a page for choices of annually and monthly. However no matter which buttons can’t get me into payment or confirmation. The “create new note has reached limit” keeps restricting me. And I can’t just remove my app.

Very Useful app for more than 10 years

I hv used this app for more than 10 yrs, it’s so useful that i subscribe to it.

I usually take notes by capturing photos. it's Great to categorize different photo notes using this app.

Things are so clear and I can find out the photo note i want easily.

It’s also very helpful when i make travel plans into a booklet.

Tried other apps, but Evernote still remains my No.1.

I have been using Evernote for over eight years, it’s simplifies my note taking process. When they added the drop down heading function, reviewing my notes becoming so much easier. Used to be a fan

I used for 5 years and from past year cannot withstand the app keeps asking you to pay to continue use cross-platform function. And this app is getting more and more bulky and slow because they keep adding functions not frequently required. Now there are plenty of other cross-platform note apps, so I no longer used this one which takes you many seconds to even just open the app.

Key app used constantly

As a top lawyer working under constant pressure handling many different matters, Evernote has been for many years now been a critical part of my workflow, used for note-taking, time records, planning, downloading material from the Internet across multiple devices. It syncs with a version used by my personal assistant to provide critical support to me. I don’t use all its features, but it’s one of only an exceptionally small number of essential apps for me that saves me a lot of time. It is the only app I used for note taking (other than a paper notebook!) I encourage all my team to use Evernote, too.

Continuing unresolved issues with scannable and Evernote connecting

Been having issues every few months with scanning and uploading. Customer support cumbersome to access and no meaningful support over a year to resolve this issue. Used to be better

Have been using Evernote for the last 5 years or so, seeing them from going from an honest solution to an overly-complicated one is disappointing. Normal functions like making notes are sometimes glitchy as they keep adding new features to serve their corporate clients, but are completely irrelevant to the retail customers who just want a simple note taking app. I have repeatedly tried to give feedback and my enquiries have been repeatedly dismissed and ignored by bots which adds to my continuous frustration. This is the perfect example of a company who is losing touch with their (once loyal) customers.

Drains my iPad power significantly

Since bending spoon took over, the app has improved a lot. However, I still find 1) it still drains my iPad power significantly vs other notes app such as Apple Note or One note; 2) the daily journal it automatically generated is not very useful. 3) the iPad version’s cloud sync is bad, but mobile and web version cloud sync is ok. I think most people use iPad version to take notes, so this needs to improve.

This is just a note taking app, which should be a rather simple product. Hope it keeps improving, otherwise people will move on.

Very bad experience

I lost all my data after i updated the app. And i am forced to join the paid plan before i can access back my notebooks from the old free version. The web page is not assessable at all time. My experience after paying the app is worse than before. Trouble shoot solutions are not personal. Will not subscribe anymore.

After update sudden delete all my notes in iPhone

After update it became cannot log in on my iPhone, it holds at a screen with its new icon. I really worry my notes and went to the website to log in, It required me to select only one machine to be synced, I selected the web because I still see my notes in web, after such selection, I went back to my iPhone found it can be logged in, but all my previous notes are deleted, instead of NOT synced. I can accept not synced but NOT be deleted without notice. All user please alert. horrible experience.

Some areas to improve

In general, the latest versions run more slowly, especially when trying to paste photo from my iPhone. It can take a very long time.

Worse update ever

Finally back to a more stable version. One issue, if I activate the login passcode, the passcode must be input via the screen keypad, and doesn’t allow input from an external keyboard, which sort of defeats the purpose. Hope this gets fixed quickly.

so slow and buggy！

i enjoyed Evernote before. But it has tons of bugs and slow loading lately. I mean, I am using iPhone 13 Pro Max with all things up to date and good internet. But every time when I start typing the note and then I switch to another app, there are like over 5 seconds of freezing time meaning I cannot edit when I switched back to Evernote. Just so annoying. Notion is much much much faster

Sync problems

Sync has become quit problematic lately. On iPhone, when I finish typing and press the green tick, the tick is not gone and Evernote “replays” my editing steps for tens of seconds. E.g. If I type “How are you?” then Evernote first shows “How”, stop for one or two seconds, then shows “How are”, stops for a few seconds, and finally shows “How are you?”. If I have deleted some characters or added something in the middle, Evernote replays these too. If I quit the app at this point, I would lose my editing. How terrible it is! Reinstalling the app gets rid of the problem for one or two days, and then it comes back. In other occasions, when I type some Chinese characters and then switch to input some English on the same line, Evernote quits the editing screen and goes back to the note list. The editing is then gone. I have to kill the app to get past that. After being a premium user for years, I’m now seriously considering to switch to other alternatives for notetaking.

Not improve then move on

In the past I enjoyed using Evernote a lot, as it keeps my notes organised. However, in recent years, the performance of the app is downgraded a lot, the response from the app is very very slow and makes me frustrated when using it. As Notions and many other tools provide migration tool from Evernote, if Evernote keeps developing new features without improving its performance, new features cannot keep its loyal customers.

the Synchronization is terrible

my schedule cannot update when I change it in the google calendar and even turns to blank from time to time And it always fails to synchronize between my different equipments. After I delete my note on computer, this note appears on my phone again. These bugs really drive me mad!

Crashed after devices getting to Low Power Mode.

Forgot to charge iPhone on one day. Phone got to Low Power Mode. Evernote app cannot start and stuck on the splash screen. Cannot start the app again even if the phone is fully charged and back to normal mode.

Time to move on

From a moment, my scan pdf could not save to Evernote. Home page takes forever to load. Across-device synergy always confusing and always have 2 same copy in my note list. Until a day, that i need to hand write note from a class, but the line i draw looks like been electrified and my hand competing with pencil on writing. It’s time to move on

Additional frustration from Evernote, it’s really time to move on!

When Evernote released a buz version and this should easier for users collaboration but this is totally wrong! I am using personal version sharing with another personal user, however, it keeps crashing and creating “extra” notes because of conflict is found! Come on! They use to show “someone is editing” the note and it rarely create “extra notes” due to conflict, however, it happens frequently in last few months!

Plus, there should be problem in their sync as the few hours ago update doesn’t show in preview! Or even doesn’t appear in the shared note as well!

My bottom comment about that bug has been fixed, however, if anyone is asking, is it worth to use to use Evernote, I would say it’s no longer a nice app to subscribe! Don’t waste your money!

As an aged user of evernote, I like this app a lot... until recently, the revamp of UI refresh my eyes, it surprised me a lot but I have terrible experience tonight when I keep updating a note. Firstly, auto save doesn’t work; 2nd, my manual save doesn’t work too; 3rd, update doesn’t show at the summary page even tho it’s inside the note; 4th is the most terrible issue, when I click a note, content appears over 5 seconds after the click! Excuse me, am I using sth decades ago? I think the revamp is very nice but in case it’s too buggy or performance is totally deteriorated, please don’t do it!

Cons

1) Always crash when you edit notes with larger (comparatively) capacity

2) can’t save/restore previous versions of notes, meaning amendments that you made is irreversible. It is extremely annoying when you accidentally delete a photo which you have no copy on album

Please improve those cons. Really affecting user experience and reliability.

Can’t use recently

I was once a paid user and it’s once a good app.

But after I unsubscribed and update the app recently, the app doesn’t work and I can’t retrieve the notes I created before!

It looks normal when u open the app but after around 10s , a blank page with a circle keeps spinning pop up and then enter the “endless waiting” mode and I can’t access the notes created before.

How to export

The overall experience is fine. After making the notes I wanted to export, I found a place, I thought it was export but it was actually exporting it as a link, I search mostly everywhere I know in Evernote, and I can’t find that button. After I open the app for a few seconds，it totally can't write on the Evernote，there is an circle on the screen，and go round and round，but on computer it is normal. Pls solve it，thx.

Table editing in Mobile version

There is still room for improvement on the table editing function in mobile version. E.g., I couldn't find the way to adjust the column width, and also the column is extremely short and ending a very narrow column with multiple lines making it unreadable. But appreciate added the table editing functions to mobile version. Thank you-

After this latest update of this Evernote app, as other people have already suggested, you basically cannot open any of your notes. Just a blank page. Evernote please fix this ASAP considering we actually paid for your service, in particular this mobility option.

I appreciate the update, but the swiping backward gesture seems a bit buggy so that I experienced difficulties going back from a note or bringing up the sidebar, which didn’t happen in previous version.

Fix the problem of syncing

It always takes quite some time before the note content is properly synchronized aross devices...

Sometimes I accidentally edit the note before the notes are synchronized to my mobile, and then my content disappear after synchronized.

Used to be an amazing app

This app was one I’d recommend to all my friends but over the years it’s gotten gradually worse and they’ve taken away features that used to be in the free app. And they’ve also taken them away in the paid app as I’ve paid for it and tried but to no avail.

These features are the multi-select option (which when you have hundreds of notes in a folder and want to batch archive many of them, you have to very painstakingly do it one by one).

There used to be a multi-select where you could move 20 at a time, for some very stupid reason they took this feature away, (what the absolute heck were they thinking?).

Also the UNDO feature which many of us rely on in ANY note editing app is also taken away. So if when on a phone you accidentally select a load of text and try to cut/paste etc but hit the delete button on the keyboard by accident (it happens) there’s no way to undo that action. Years ago in the free app it was possible to undo many actions. Taking away that feature is again VERY Frustrating and a stupid choice by the developers of this app.

Currently looking for an app to transfer across too as the team never makes any changes once you message them. I’ve tried and they always say they’ll look into it but do nothing about anything. Waste of time.

You also can’t message them unless you pay for the app, how quite frankly $hit is that?? An app that doesn’t want honest opinions about how to improve the app from their users?

I’m not sure what’s happened to the team but I think they’ve just gotten greedy and made the app gradually worse trying to coax people to pay for it, and then when you do the apps still just the same as the free one.

Absolutely ridiculous and illogical on many levels.

Thanks for being an exceptional app years ago, and a massive ? As to why you’ve gotten worse year by year...?????

Not in sync with server had to reinstall

After latest update My notes won’t sync! I still see them on all my other devices but just not the phone. Had to go home and reinstall (cos I have too many notes to do it on the go)

Edit mode

Excellent app to take quick note. You can continue to edit and view your notes when back in office with a browser. Seamless!

However, 8 out of 10 times I’m in read mode only, and zooming in for easier reading. And many times, by accident, it enter to edit mode, when I’m trying to scroll around. Text return to its original size. At times when I want to enter edit mode, it just give me select/copy mode by long pressing!

Inconvenient behavior. What I wish for is an EDiT button on the corner so I can click when I need to edit. Moreover, keep the current text size while entering edit mode! IMO less hassle.

You can only upgrade your package or not using it

I have been using Evernote for years, I can’t believe that they lock the page on a upgrade page when I open the app today. And there is no choice to keep the current free package, I can’t even back up my notes. It breaks the trust for using Evernote and shows how unreliable it is.

Scrolling through notes

I have been a Evernotes user since 2012. Evernotes is no doubt very strong in capturing ideas and organisation. But every time when i need to jump in and jump out to read between notes in a notebook is really counterintuitive. After you capture your ideas in your inbox, you would digest and put into notebooks. But then, when you want to revisit and review your notebooks, It becomes so difficult to read. I really hope Evernote would have a function to scroll through different pages so that you can revisit your consolidated idea at ease.

Icons disappear automatically

I use evernote since 2014, i like the apps a lot!! However, since few months ago, the icons (like 🤔🤣🤔🤤😫)typed in notes disappeared!! Its fine while using apps on phone, but the problems happened after syn with website evernote........ please fix the problem thanks!!

Good organising scheme but with strange font sizing

The app is good enough for note dropping and article writing. The cross platform support on iOS and Mac allows me seamlessly. However, there is a strange layout in presenting the words. On Mac, the user could set the font size with precise pointing, 12, 14...etc. On iOS, the there are three categories only, small, medium and large. I think it is fine for a handy device to have a simplified function, but the simplified function does not work in the same way. I default use font 14 on Mac, but on iOS, some of the words display in small size, but some would be in medium size. Hope the developer would help fine tune the app, thanks.

Unwanted edit mess up my work

I don’t know why people hate Evernote. I like to use, however so many times my finger scroll a note and Evernote edit the page. Change order of my objects. Sometimes even deleted some of my note because I’m fast scrolling. Why don’t simply let us have an Edit button?

After update to 8.11.1, every time I open the app it returns to the “all notes” page but not the previous opened notes, this is very inconvenient.

"Tags" Tab Loads Way Too Slow

I have used Evernote for many years and it is essential to my daily work flow. The new version may have quashed some bugs, but the "Tags" tab loads way too slow (both for iPad and iPhone)....sometimes, it takes as much as 30 secs to pop up and during that time, the whole app freezes......Please try to fix it up.
