I swear absolutely no one likes the new messenger update for iOS. I’m begging anyone to revert some of the HORRIBLE messenger updates for iOS. Choosing photos is more difficult, the option to choose a photo from a specific album is gone and now you have to scroll all the way down to photos from YEARS AGO. Selecting gifs is also HORRIBLE, it now covers the entire chat when choosing a gif. Also viewing the photos in a chat is more hassle because you have to tap on extra. Please if you care about your users at all please please please take a look into these issues.

I can’t skip the messages and calls when I did choose to skip someone. Those were still pop up to notice me. Why can’t I turn off the call function? Please give us that option. It’s really upset that I can’t avoid someone’s call without blocking them. So much anxious were caused by that. Can Facebook really understand that?

Could not figure out what’s wrong with the developer’s brain, the app is so salty and full of tears. I hate the new UI as it just make stuffs big, consuming up space of the screen, taking away user’s freedom. They put ads between the massages, delivered low quality ad full of racism and sexism. 1. May I ask why messenger doesn't have any recordings of call histories? I mean, it can only be viewed by those who made the call, other than, you can make a 2step verification of identity for security.
2. The audio is greatly distorted and I can barely hear what my contacts are saying, it often lag and it's not a very ideal to call through messenger when something is important-urgent matters-that should to mentioned in the other line.
I hope that you'll reply to me and fix this bugs/update the app.

What’s with the ads? The old version of Messenger, though it was a bit buggy, did not have these extremely annoying ads appearing right in the middle of the conversation list. Now every time I open Messenger it’s like a minefield - I have to scroll carefully to avoid accidentally clicking the ad. The ads in the current version MUST GO! 😠
I only deleted and reinstalled Messenger to try to clear out my phone’s cache of old ‘shared photos’. (There still does not seem to be a good way of doing this - developers, please take note!) However, I now wish I had the old Messenger back!

Disappeared messages after relaunching the apps. The activities from groups messages (when someone post something or mark something as sold in some interest groups) always overwrite my personal messages and they are nowhere to be found. I got all the spam on top of my chat list and those important messages are missing.

After the latest update I need to open it by 2 time, and it will shut down automatically when we do reply, open other message or etc. Please fix it as soon as possible!

After all, I’m all happy with everything.

The company confirmed the practice after an interview published earlier this week with Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg raised questions about Messenger's practices and privacy. Zuckerberg told Vox's Ezra Klein a story about receiving a phone call related to ethnic cleansing in Myanmar. Facebook had detected people trying to send sensational messages through the Messenger app, he said.

Group Conference Now Harder to Manage

Group call now showing all people in contact list but not the people in the conference group. Making it so hard to manually enable/disable ringing only those people in the group. It was showing just people in the group before, after update the last stupid version, this happened!

So many useless functions you cannot disable! I don't want to see a list of people at the top, I don't want to see or share any stories!
And now to top it all of they started putting big intrusive ads in the messages list!!
Please release "messenger lite" for iOS, this is really ridiculous and getting out of hand for what should be a simple messaging app.
Many issues with facebook call

Wide array of issues that does not get resolved. Dark screen when you are video chatting, no sound despite good network, facebook call notif not showing when your friend is calling... you name it. The performance of facebook in general now is just unstable and not only do problems not go away, new ones appear all the time and it is one reason why I cannot even list all the problems I have experienced. The problems themselves are inconsistent! I have never experienced such inconsistent performance from any other communication app. It also drains so much of your battery.

Quite inconvenient and intuitively not clear how to use some features in the app.
For instance, the badge, reminding me that my notifications are off.. if i don’t want anybody see message incoming, why should i or must turn notification on? The annoying badge is displayed at all times....
Secondary, tried to edit a picture for my friend, add a few smiles and draw couple of lines... can’t confirm it and send. Just didn’t find the button to do it (intuitively not clear how to use some setting). Don’t like this app, but use it if needs to send message to a Facebook user.

After I updated the iOS, I found out that when I on the phone call by using messenger and I lock my phone on the same time , the messenger will cut my phone call !? Why? Did you guys know this bug?? Can you settle this problem, please!

I think this version has contained some sort of bugs, cuz when I use my ipad’s keyboard to type words, it still pop up the typing window so that blocks the most important part which is the comment area...and I can’t see what I’m typing!!!
It bothers me a lot
Please fix it!!!
