Even when I turn off the background app refresh or let my phone in low battery mode, the app still active in the background and draining my phone’s battery. The only way to solve this (at least by now) is to delete the app only. Could you please fix this problem quickly lol

As a regular dark mode user, I find the restricted light mode in google drive somehow disturbing and uncomfortable to use. It annoys me whenever i use google drive and hence i have been considering to switch to other substitutes. I sincerely hope that dark mode would be enable in google drive sooner this year.

It’s okay to view the sheets but never insert data/numbers thru the app. Some values would become error, and when you open the sheets thru browser on your computer, all the works you have done would become error too. Alcoves inside to store doc files, the workspaces had more functionality, like a notion page, maybe with databases that sheets would do you for within the app. But what would make it all worthwhile is increased security by having everything, all workspaces, in designed allocations and GSuite access like opening another draw, that is if you subscribe for it, why wouldn’t you?

It used to allow user view the latest upload doc, which enable to rename and move the file to specific folder easily. Now the new interface do not automatically show the latest file is under tab, yet if under tab the “move” function is gone from the drop down list, even rename file here, still need to get to the tab to select the file to move to specific folder. That means now I have to scroll in tab to find the newly add file, rename and organize there; it makes the Home tab useless.

I use Macbook (preview app) to annotate my PDF and save in Google Drive. However, when I open them in the Google Drive app, they all disappear...Mainpoint is - i can see those annotations when using ios Safari. I am using iPhone X, when I using the app to upload photos to google cloud the file format changed to “HEIF” instead of “JPEG”, after I downloaded the photo to computer I cannot open the file in HEIF.
But in the past time when I am using iPhone 6S, I haven’t found this file format problem.
Would you pls fix it and help to convert the file format? JPEG is more easy to access for most the users.

The app is so far so good for basic functions. Two improvement I would suggest, that the first one is a tree view for the folder structure. It allows users to access different folders quickly without moving back to the root node. Secondly, when zooming in the PDF, the view will suddenly jump back to normal size. Seems the zoom function has deficiency.

I’ve had more than one problem with Google Drive, however, I’ve spent several weeks and many hours trying to figure out how to email a PowerPoint with a soundtrack The soundtrack never plays AND the presentation requires them to scroll through. It’s meant to be a nostalgic memory, but I can’t get it done, whether I send as attachment or a drive link. I get that integrating programs and incorporating cross functionality is difficult, but I expected this issue to be an easy fix for me. After all, drive plays PowerPoints and I embedded sound file as wav, but it never works

After update, the app is not functioning well. It stops itself and disappear from time to time when I try to listen to the mp3 saved in the google drive

Whenever I press on PowerPoint files in files app. It tries to open in Google drive and there is no way to turn off unless I uninstall google drive app!
Update: SOLUTION
Use the share function to 'copy to Microsoft PowerPoint' and then went back into the Files app, then the ppt document will open natively within Files.
Can’t “replace” a file

When using this apps to upload a new file to replace the current one (with same file name). It actually rename my new file and keep the old one, but not really replace it. I don’t know how can I replace a file. This is super annoying to me. I only want real replace function, but not keeping all the old versions.

My iPhone iOS is 11 , I can’t upload the photo that taken by the phone to drive , sorry for bothering, did your app updated already for iOS 11 ?
