My son and helper had to go to a place that was not identifiable on their app (even in Chinese). A cab driver picked up the order and actually didn’t know the place, and then said he would drop them off “anywhere” in the country park. I had already asked my helper to tell the cab driver to wait before driving off, to make sure he knew the destination, but he drove off anyway not giving them time to protest and ended up charging them $37 to drive them and drop them home! He should not have picked up the order if he didnt know the place. He also cancelled the order so I couldn’t see it from my app and he could cheat my helper to pay. He was also verbally abusive to my helper and 6 yo son. My complaint has still not been addressed by HK Taxi. I think this is a extreme safety issue and will not use them any more unless this issue is rectified. FYI the cab drivers plate was UT1751 and he should be banned from being a taxi driver with that attitude and disregard for safety.

All drivers are actively accepting your booking and reject it in 2mins later. Just because they have got a passenger when coming to pick you up. All drivers are money lover rather than a good drivers and service providers. Never install this app and uninstall it immediately. Highly not recommended.

1. 司機經常不看定位，每次都要打來問，不論你的上車位置下車地點都要問，那我何需定位給你？而且不是和你確認一下行程的那種，而是要問我該地方到底在哪裡，哪條街、怎樣去，就算說得清楚，十次也有一兩次會錯，必須沿途監察司機有否行錯路。
2. 經常要花十分鐘以上才到上車地點，既然司機車上客人未下車，前往接載新客人又有一段距離，為何要早早搶單，讓客人看你在定位兜來兜去也未到。
選用這app 也是因的士多車，理應更方便，而且也能電子支付，疫情期間減少接觸，奈何使用多番失望。
結論：我寧願比貴十蚊八l蚊用其他叫車app算
應該加入選擇 紅的/綠的/ 藍的 嘅功能

Same old BS with your typical HK taxi drivers. Pick up your order, cancel right away and tell you to get another because the destination is not where they want to go. Requests to use specific tunnel is frequently refused citing heavy traffic when then there's no traffic at all.

I’ve been double charged as I have already paid via the app because I hired a taxi for my mother and father for the their trip from the hospital back to the senior home. The taxi driver charged my parents again and they paid in cash. Phoned the app service hotline, they said taxi driver never requested or took the cash money, and they can’t help with the dispute.

The best thing about HKTaxi is being able to pay by credit card automatically。HKtaxi has made it impossible to add a new credit card after removing your old ones. The app is buggy. I have contacted customer service but there’s been no response. Please help and respond! I’ve been a loyal customer!
Customer service team is not great when it comes to problems with your trips as well.

6 reasons they should remake the app
1. When submitting order, it doesn’t suggest pick up location based on your current location
2. Majority of Taxi drivers always ask when I’m going or where to pick me up despite the address is crystal clear - not sure if the address is show on the driver navigation
3. No option to cancel a request once submitted
4. It crashes all the time
5. I have spent 20min trying to get a taxi, where did that 70,000 network drivers go?

Been using the app for over 2 yrs. I set up an automatic approval over HKD 100 and this saves me tons of cash. I noticed it’s harder to get a taxi for short trips, maybe because the fee is too high for those trips. So only use it for long trips.

Great app. But VERY VERY POOR online support. I lost my phone in the back seat of the taxi and called the support number. I was redirected to several other numbers and one man said ‘ok we’ll look for you and call you back’ without asking for a number to call back on??? Another woman answered and gave me a number in 2secs and hung up. I needed to call her 3 times to get the number. At the end NO support of help at all. Thank god for passengers that are genuine and helpful ...

Adore this app for the fantastic quality of drivers and option to request to pay in cash or on the app with a credit card. I’ve always gotten a great driver within two tries, and only ever had to increase tip to $10 for busy days. The drivers are so good they get my extra tips anyways! And they always arrive within about 4-6minutes of taking the order and calling to tell me their taxi number. Highly recommended for anyone needing reliable taxis anywhere in Hong Kong.

So you can hail a taxi now without making a voice call.. but when compare the two language versions, more option (discounted fares, rates, ) more evident & assessable in the Chinese version? Discrimination? Developer replies & says type it all in. Who would have known that? Would the driver be able to read? First use & ride of app definitely lacklustre when I compared my options with my Cantonese reading friends!! “What you didn’t ask??” Especially when the driver says “Oh well, let that be a lesson to you since there’s no discounted fares from HK island!” REALLY!! I’ll go back to the “numbers” on hand that I have!

I started using this app when I simply couldn’t get a taxi outside my apartment in the mornings before work. I like to support HK taxis rather than use other car services but it can be frustrating to wait. The drivers on this app are usually very close by and I don’t have to wait long. The prices are good and I like the option of offering a tip up front. I normally pay by cash but I like the option of the credit card function. This is exactly what Hong Kong needed.

Quite convenient to use this app. Credit card payment are handled instantly, may even faster than traditional cash-charge payment. It is an app popular among drivers so it is not too difficult to get a taxi instantly. Also the driver location information is very useful for customers reference. In terms of price, although there is 3% commission for credit card payment, you will not need to pay the $5 service charge for phone booking, which is to some extent a benefit in price for orders < $166.7.
The taxi drivers, in general, will not reject your payment through credit card, except in some instances drivers may have difficulty to access the internet near the border of Hong Kong, so that the transaction need to be done in cash. Developer may want to add this warning in the app to inform the drivers and passengers involved in close-border orders about this possible issue.
Also, I wish the HKTaxi app may make the experience of using this app in English interface complete as soon as possible (as stated in the app, only the Chinese version enjoys the full functionality). Also I am looking forward to see more discount offers occur in HKTaxi.
Best wishes to the future of this app, it makes me fall in love with taxiing experience.

The taxi drivers still refuse to take the route of the passenger's choice. There is an option if the passenger wants to select a specific route but can also be left blank so the passenger can decide later. So when the passenger gets into the taxi and selects a route (same destination as entered on the app), that is not beneficial or shorter than what the driver wants then they will refuse to drive you even if you are already in the car. Horrible. If you don't want a hard time or have to argue or get ejected from the taxi then get UBER not this.

This is a great app as drivers are responding quickly. What's more is that it comes with real time driver location on map and in text. Today, I knew the driver was coming but just got stuck at the series of traffic lights nearby. It also got the car plate that you could spot ur cab right away.

Has been used it for number of times, usually run between Kowloon and HK island, occasionally to new territories. so far satisfy with the service! Most of the time have a taxi reply in few mins, the longest time no more then 15mins. One thing very appreciate is that you can order for service at particular time which save me time from waiting ! Drivers are polite, and will have back up when unable to arrive in time.
Please keep polishing the service and become the best platform!

Suggestion: add an order taken button.
I submitted an order today and got on a cab but 2 very nice drivers called after to check if my order was taken yet. If there's a "done" or "taken" button to the order, could save other driver's time! And less guilt for me to tell them the order has already been taken
English could be added too. A lot of expats could benefit from this app!
