Unreasonable non stop upgrade plan
It is ridiculous you can only buy extra credit by only upgrade your plan while you finished all credit. And you can only buy extra credit when meet the highest plan (which costs HKD78,888/mth). You even cannot just keep your current plan to buy your credit. Only upgrade….. can’t believable.

Garbage output caused permanent, unrecoverable data loss
I've been paying $200/month since February 2026. Over $900 total. For most tasks, Manus works fine. But one catastrophic bug just destroyed hours of my work, and I need everyone considering this app to know what happened.
I was iterating an academic report through 7 versions. Versions 1 through 6 were completely normal — clean output, reasonable file sizes, no issues. So when Manus delivered v7, I had zero reason to suspect anything was wrong.
Turns out Manus dumped over 110,000 GARBAGE DASH CHARACTERS into a single table cell. The actual report content was maybe 10,000 characters. The rest? Pure junk. Over 110KB of meaningless repeated dashes (-) hidden inside a Markdown table that looked normal from the outside.
I pasted this into another workspace without checking the file size — because WHY WOULD I? Six previous versions were fine. The 110k characters of garbage immediately crashed the entire workspace. That crash triggered a chain reaction that resulted in 3 HOURS of important conversation data being permanently deleted and completely unrecoverable. Gone forever. Because of one broken table cell.
This is inexcusable for a $200/month service. There are ZERO output size warnings. ZERO safeguards against generating 110,000 characters of garbage in a single cell. ZERO quality checks before delivering the file to the user. I trusted Manus because v1-v6 were fine, and Manus rewarded that trust by silently delivering a corrupted file that destroyed my data.
Fix your table rendering. Add output size limits. Add quality checks before delivery. This should never happen to anyone else.

Byzantine rules on credits
I like using Manus and there are things it is good for but be very careful of the credits. For example if you don’t use up all your credits on your renewal date THEY DO NOT GET CARRIED FORWARD. Second If you upgrade to get more points you are meant to be able to switch down to lower levels later but I don’t see that. And third there are Byzantine rules about the 300 daily credits. The commercial design of these rules is too clever.

I am currently on a plan providing 4,000 credits/month, but I’ve encountered several issues with the current credit system that I hope you can address:
• Lack of Flexible Top-ups: I wanted to add more credits to my account for a single month to finish a specific project, but I found there is no option to simply "buy more" without changing my entire subscription. There should be a more flexible, one-time top-up solution.
• Session Memory Loss: As soon as my credits run out, the system seems to "forget" the progress of my current run. This is highly inefficient.
• Wasted Credits on Errors: When the AI makes an error and I have to re-run a prompt to correct it, I am charged credits again. This feels unfair, especially when the credit limit is reached due to the system's own mistakes.
• Request for Continuity: When my credits refresh next month, I shouldn’t have to start the entire process from scratch. The system should retain the context of previous work so I don't have to pay twice for the same results.
I hope you can consider a more flexible credit billing scheme and improve how sessions are handled when limits are reached.

Running out of credits so fast for even the simplest task. Been a Manus supporter and user from way back and this is the only time I felt it’s time to cancel my subscription. I can’t add credits without upgrading and also since original subscription was through stripe I can’t upgrade. It’s now a mess and time to cancel and move on.

Manus is an exceptionally powerful and accurate AI agent capable of handling a wide range of complex tasks with precision. Its ability to complete a significant amount of work makes it a promising tool for productivity and automation.
However, my experience is significantly hampered by its credit system. A single, complex task can consume as many as 1,300 credits or even more. The primary issue lies with the daily credit refresh. The system is supposed to provide 300 credits each day, and it is expected that these credits would accumulate if unused. Unfortunately, it appears the credits do not roll over; instead, the balance simply resets to 300 each day. This bug prevents users from saving up credits for more demanding tasks.
This limitation creates a difficult choice for users: either pay a high price to complete just one or two major tasks or wait for the daily credit refresh. This model fails to provide a strong incentive for continuous use, especially for those considering a paid subscription.
To improve the platform and incentivize users to upgrade, the credit system needs a significant overhaul. Here are a few suggestions:
1）Fix the Accumulation Bug: Unused daily credits should accumulate, allowing users to save up for larger projects.
2）Restructure Subscription Tiers: There should be a clear difference in the daily credit allowance between free and paid versions. For example:
-Free Version: 300 daily credits
-Basic Version: 500 daily credits
-Plus Version: 800 or more daily credits
Implementing these changes would make the pricing feel more justified and provide a compelling reason for users to invest in a paid plan. Without these improvements, it’s difficult to justify the high cost when usage is so heavily restricted by the current credit limitations.

Recently bought the starter plan, giving me 3900 credits per month. But every single complex task like some deep research took like 500 credits each and is relatively slow. Prefer getting the ChatGPT pro honestly if you are looking to spend 200 dollars a month and mainly doing research. Overall this AI is amazing, better than others I had used.
