Loving it

I used Eatigo in hk for many many times.

Service and everything s same as that offered to other customers. I constantly took the 50 percent off ( cos could be found often even during prime hours like 5 to 6 p.m. dinner time) with very big smiles and recommend this to many friends.

I saved huge on premium restaurant bills. Perfect. I swear I never even had one bad experience , is it my pure luck or Eatigo is this good? I need to use this app more to hit that awful experience others here mentioned.

Need better CS training and debugging

I have been using this app for long, and I absolutely love the discounts the eatigo provides. The ECV scheme is brilliant too.

However, my account has suddenly got suspended after my request of the ECV retrieval. I was informed that I did not attend the bookings a week ago, which I did. That totally messed up my schedule, and let my family and friends down as all my bookings had been cancelled.

Even more unfortunate, I encountered an unhelpful and rude CS staff. Not only did the staff gave me only canned response, but also failed to show empathy to my frustration. The utterance “what is your loss, you haven’t attended the booking yet” did not help the situation but made me disappointed and furious. My losses are: 1. Letting my family and friends down as the bookings were cancelled because of the suspension of the account. 2. I lost the chance of earning the ECV codes.

I have submitted the proofs of my attendance, have written a review on their website, and have sent an email to report the case via their email. Yet, I still haven’t heard of them. That makes me have no choice but write my experience here.

Terrible takeaway service - Ordered raw food

I had a terrible experience with eatigo for takeaway. It claims to offer voucher for doing 3 takeaways. However, the platform is a piece of trash and not ready at all.

I ordered robatayaki vegetables with a restaurant called First Love for takeaway. The order was confirmed. Then the guy called me and said you’ve ordered raw food and please cancel the order. I’m not sure if robatayaki vegetables equal raw food or skewers from my understanding. Raw food on the menu. Interesting. Yet I still haven’t received my refunds.

Flawed Customer Review Process

Have been using eatigo for a while now and thought that all the customer reviews are being handled fairly and transparent.

Based on a recent bad experience with a restaurant, feedback provided and acknowledged by Eatigo. It was further confirmed that the review will be published to general public. However, it never happened.

Follow up with eatigo and then only realise that such “bad review” will not be published. Hence, it made me think that this customer review section is meant to misrepresent the quality of the restaurant partnered with eatigo. This is a shame!

Made a reservation on last Saturday. I was told by the restaurant they could not find my reservation, which I had just received a reminder of the reservation from eatigo 5 minutes earlier....and the most interesting is it showed in the App that I did not show up to the restaurant...

I emailed the CS concerning the situation which promised to reply within 24hours, but I still have not receive any reply after 3 days until today...really frustrating

I have a very poor experience when arriving the restaurant booked through your platform on yesterday night!

When I arrived the restaurant on time, I found someone smoke in that restaurant which is unbelievable and very horrible. Besides, indoor smoking is not allowed in Hong Kong. I am very disappointed that your platform have such poor review on the restaurant!

Today I receive your email about I didn’t arrive the restaurant on time! I am so angry to receive the email about this! It is insane the you blame your user before you have any review of your poor service! Easy to use, great discounts!

There are a lot of restaurants that I’ve discovered through Eatigo, even right next to where I live.

The app is so easy to use, can book and cancel at the last minute, awesome discounts, it’s great!

TO THE DEVELOPERS: please fix the map. I’m on iOS 13.3.1, iPhone 8.

On the map, when I click on a mark, the list of restaurants shuffles to the restaurant selected and then disappears. Click on another mark, and the same happens.

Eatigo should not just have 4 star reviews in the apps for all restaurants. It should be more transparent by including the 3 star, 2 star and 1 star rating. 我唔係第一次用佢訂位，但今次真係對呢個app嘅公司好失望，佢會控制用家評價，好就留，唔好就唔顯示出黎。因為覺得間餐廳真係有問題，我先反應，點知遲遲唔見我個評價顯示，咪問點解。呢個app嘅公司回覆話佢地唔係一個餐廳評價app，講到明話好評就顯示俾大家睇，唔好評就由餐廳自己決定顯唔顯未，我諗應該無一家餐廳會選擇顯示自己嘅負評。

又或者好可以係唔同嘅service package，餐廳俾多d錢，就可以選擇用戶評價。

以下是app嘅email回覆，睇完就明白:

For English user, this app manipulates users comments. They intend to misleading their users by only showing positive comments from users. I have gave a negative comment to the restaurant and my comment never shows, hence I send an email to them and get the below reply from the app:

“Eatigo’s feedback policy works on a system where stars are displayed for review purposes. The more stars a restaurant has, the more appealing it is to customers. The positive feedbacks are displayed to encourage a higher patronage to the respective restaurants while the negative feedbacks act as a prompt to alert restaurants to fix their shortcomings and improve their performance. Once the restaurant acknowledges its shortcoming via the negative feedback received, and attends to it, the restaurant has full discretion not to display the comment on their platform as it no longer serves the purpose intended. Kindly be informed that eatigo also does not act as a review site for restaurants.”

the app is very unstable，always showing blank pages. i have successfully made two bookings so far but could not cancel one with app；however，finally it was cancelled through your contact. I just tried to a booking but the the app kept showing error “user with such contact detials already exist” and therefore I could not be able to confirm reservation. If the discount is only offered via making booking through eatigo and original price is charged for walk in clients，I will not go to those restaurants if i cannot make bookings via eatigo.

The other thing is the info is least，relatively much less than openrice，i had to refer to openrice for more info. The only advantage is higher discount. However，if I cannot make booking，no matter how attractive the discount is uselesss.

Disappointed

Hey, one star rating but no choice for such a disappointment.

I reserved a table on a public holiday. However, when I arrived the restaurant, the staff said they didn’t take any reservation on public holidays. Which means they are close!

For sure I have to make another plan as no choice.

Despite the apps is not convenient at all for searching restaurant and user cannot simply being linked to the reserved restaurant on the reservation page.

It’s ridiculous the page updated my record as “attend” right after the reserved time passed.

This was an extremely bad experience and it ruined my holiday with my family.

We took time traveling to the restaurant and suddenly got to decide what and where to have for our meal... would you just promote the apps after a proper investigation and be considered for user?

I’m so scared and worry for using your reservation system again...

Good apps and Some suggestions

I have some suggestions:

1) Share link add the shop name and address is better to find.(like open rice)

2) booked the restaurant, can auto add to calendar (before have, don’t know new version disappeared).

3) increase pre-book to 5-8, now only 3.

4) more additional promotion for members

5) or can copy and paste the shop name and address for share to fds.

6) before 1 point vs $1 coupon, why now 2 point vs $2? And no any notice? Why?

Been using eatigo for almost a year now. It’s great for discovering new restaurants and getting sweet deals, but I recently purchased an iPad Pro, and it’d be great if you guys could add tablet support for this app so I can make reservations while I work. Keep up the good work!

Disappointed

Made a reservation through Eatigo at a cafe in Quarry Bay on 27 Feb 2019 and was informed the cafe in fact does not take reservations for lunch hours (12-2 pm). The cafe apologised and said they were contacting Eatigo to rectify the issue. It was fine, and I made alternative lunch plans.

However, later that afternoon, it was shown on the app that I missed the reservation, and I was informed no additional reservations would be accepted should I “miss” two more reservations. My “absence” was in fact a consequence of a miscommunication problem between the cafe and Eatigo - why should customers bear the responsibility? I immediately wrote a feedback to Eatigo that evening, requesting Eatigo to investigate the issue. No one followed up on the case and no replies were received until now, despite Eatigo promised to respond within 24 hours.

Simply disappointed at Eatigo’s service and the non-responsiveness to customer feedback. Had no choice but giving a low rating. Agreed with some of the users - don’t ask me to write e-mails as I couldn’t receive any proper response.

Excellent app I highly recommend

Here’s the best app around for reserving restaurants of your choice. I think the developers did a marvellous job and put tremendous effort in finding these jaw-dropping deals for us users (often 50% off at non-peak hour). We NEED this type of user-friendly app in HK that provides economic choices for us food lovers. Please make sure you guys keep the restaurants we love discounted!!

Poor apps with poor restaurant

I have made a reservation by this app and received the booking confirmation. Then I have called the restaurant for double confirmation 2 hours before the booking time and the restaurant replied that they don’t have any notifications if booking through this app so didn’t reserve the table for me and I have to wait for the table as walk-in customers!!

Very convenient app!

It’s very convenient and easy to make a booking, also can get a good discount!!

Only point needs to be improved is that, if putting the address of the restaurant on a confirmed screen, it would be appreciated!!

Google/Apple Map is sometimes not accurate, and having a difficulty in finding the address! ! If having the address on a confirmation screen(my reservation page), I would give 5 stars.

Being cheated by some restaurants and eatigo

1. My poor rating and comments did not shown in the review (may be hidden by merchants) that customers cannot get a fair view, which means review function is meaningless.

2. The comments as shown in app and website are not consistent.

3. Some restaurants, such as “I’m Nuts”, even presented another menu to eatigo users which is higher price and less choice than their regular menu, complained to eatigo through email before but no improvement seen.

4. When you order some expensive dishes, the restaurants will simply tell you it’s sold out, but you can see them serving to their regular customers afterwards, which is not honest but still, emailed eatigo to complaint but no significant improvement was made. “Beanswork” is one of the examples.

5. Made the reservation but the restaurant is not in operation when we arrived! What a big surprise!

6. Made the reservation one month before for Christmas in Central with discount offered but the restaurant called until one day before the dining date and said they don’t offer discount in Christmas, and asked us to cancel the reservation by ourselves! What a big joke!

Please don’t ask me to email eatigo for details, I have done this many times already but no improvement made, very disappointed.

Feeling cheated

The apps itself is very good, but in a few occasions when I tried the newly added restaurants, the claimed discount for certain high value goods are not applicable (even though the discounted items are clearly displayed in the Eatigo page). The owners claim it’s Eatigo’s mistake and they couldn’t change it. Not sure who is right, but certainly felt cheated.

Unacceptable cancellation on the booking!!!

I’ve booked a restaurant on 28/11 thru eatigo. And tonight 23/12 I would like to double confirm my booking and found the booking is being cancelled. Called the restaurant and being told they have informed eatigo that they would like to suspend the promotion during Christmas time and new year eve, a month ago. Then I’ve checked the emaibox, eatigo emailed me on 21/12 about the cancellation without any explanation.

1. How come eatigo shows the fake promotion? Or don’t make confirmation with restaurant before posting the promotions?

2. How come eatigo can make such short notice to users esp. during Christmas time; it’s not easy to book another one within 3 days!!

3. No explanation about the cancellation in the notification email, how can we trust the app that we really can enjoy the promotion?

Utterly useless

Let me stick to the facts. I used this once to book a lunch at a Thai restaurant in Wan Chai and the place refused to honor the published discount. They said they have told Eatigo that they no longer wanted to offer lunch discounts anymore and if the App wasn’t responsive enough to update their published discounts then it’s not the restaurants fault. Then the second time tonight the restaurant I booked through the app said they have no record of my booking. As far as I am concerned the published discounts could be all fake and there is no way users know if they are real or if Eatigo has any partnership with these places at all until the disappointing moment they show up at the restaurant. Twice is a strike and enough is enough.

Restaurant cancelled booking without notification

This is the first time I used this app to book a restaurant. The booking was confirmed and I was reminded by email about my booking two hours before the booking. However when I turn up in the restaurant, the manager told us that they have private party and my booking was being just cancelled. What is the use of this app?

Extremely poor customer service

This app offers promotions but when it makes errors, will not correct them. I tried calling customer service but no one picked up. I asked them to credit me given their error via email but they don’t even have the technical capability. Worse, after wasting all my time, they didn’t apologise or offer to make amends. I would not recommend this app to anyone given their terrible service and disregard for customers.

From last week, the app can’t show the new restaurant. Non stop refresh the app, it shouldn’t show the new one, always see the same restaurant. The website can see the new restaurant. Why the app have this problem? Please fix it.

Best Restaurant App Ever

I’ve used the app for quite a while and I’m finding new great restaurants with big discounts nearby my district. I recently referred this app to 3 of my friends and I earned 600 points because of the Double Up July event, I claimed a 50$x2 cash coupon for Starbucks. 1 week has passed and I still have not received it. Although, it does say that “Within 2 Weeks, you will get your prize”. In my opinion I believe that this is a great app, not only do you get discounts on restaurants for up to 50% off, but you also get to claim real money prizes by referring it to people you know. I’d recommend downloading this app even if you aren’t a big fan of eating, because this app can always be handy! 🤗👏👍👌

Fake discount rate

When the restaurant said -10% discount and u click into the recommended menu, it said 50% discount showed the price is really valuable however it mislead us to thought the price is 50% discount once we pay at the restaurant it only had 10% discount instead of 50% what a huge different . The restaurant staff said they only do 50% discount for the breakfast but the application also showed 50% discount on lunch and dinner .... fake and unreliable At all.

Search engine on specific date and time

It is not well functioned if I am going to search for a specific date (simply like tomorrow). The situation I fall into on the moment is that I was attempting to search for coffee shop which offers a discount tomorrow morning at 08:00. The result I saw is none, since it is already the end of today, and the navigation panel was not allowing me to amend the search date and time. I have made a screen dumb, you guys may reach me out of investigation is required. Other than that, the app is quite good and I’m still a die heart fans though.

Bugs again?

I have been using this apps since it started and have no problems at all. But these 3 days, there seem to have bugs when i tried to click into my profile page. I can still make bookings but cannot see my history at all. It asked me to check for update (which i already had the latest version) or contact IT support. Can you please fix that?

Reservation time got changed when the number of pax changed.

My reservation time got changed when I changed the number of pax. Called the hotline and they explained that they have already informed me by email. It would be better to have some sort of in-app notification instead of sending an email. Who checks their email 24/7?

I am now left with no restaurant available and I have a crying 2 year old hungry baby with me!

Disappointed and gonna delete the app.

Wish you could fix the search function

Dear developer, the app brought us a lot of bargains in town. However, the search doesn’t function well: if I am going to look for restaurants opening at a specific time (for example, 8:00 am), it always shows the population or nil. Wish you could update it and fix the bug. Thanks a lot.
